On Wednesday morning, the Titans signed safety Mike Edwards to bring in another veteran presence, as well as some Super Bowl experience. A move like this was expected after Titans safety Quandre Diggs’ season-ending injury.
The 28-year-old safety was released on Tuesday by the Bills after the trade deadline. Edwards has spent time with three teams since he was drafted as a third-round pick in 2019. He’s won two Super Bowls, one in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers and the other with the Chiefs in Kansas City.
In his six-year career, Edwards has recorded 236 total tackles, three sacks, and eight interceptions.
If all goes well, and Edwards passes his physical, then he should be ready in time for the Titans week ten matchup against the Chargers.
